This themed sgian dubh wasand forged from 1075 carbon steel. It comes with the nice patina that only a fored finish leaves. This cute wee sgian dubh has a snake theme running through it.
On the spine of the blade, the decorative filework is a snake which can be seen in some of the photographs. I did this for fun, seeing as I had the components to make it happen.
The grip for this features lovely black 2,000 year old stabilised bog oak along with a fancy wood which has also been fully resin stabilised. This takes a nice polish and is also enthralling to look upon
The leather sheath features real rattlesnake leather, backed with thin bovine leather for extra strength and stability
Plus, if you own this you can proudly proclaim that “theres a snake in my boot” which im sure will get you some confused laughs but perhaps several chuckles – just try to not overuse this power!
