Daggers - a versatile knife type

Daggers have often have been designed for one purpose – war.  However this has expanded heavily into an artistic capacity, with many high-end daggers being now purely ceremonial.

The pieces I have in stock are often based on historical pieces with function in mind.  Made from known steels such as 26C3 carbon steel or more robust Stainless steels such as SF100 these symetrical daggers are made with great care and attention to detail.

When I was first learning to make Fairbairn Sykes Commando Daggers, I learnt 2 main things.  The first is that symmetrically ground daggers are wonderful to behold. The second is that getting all 4 blade bevels the same and correct can take a great deal of focus.  I apply these hard learnt lessons to every blade I make – from Sgian dubh to Greatswords!

The dagger is absolutely my favourite type of knife to make as its a hugely versatile category.

Got your own design in mind?  I can absolutely help make it a reality
