Description
1095 carbon steel chef knife, fitted with reclaimed purpleheart wood, copper/nickel/copper spacers and a nice dark 2000 year old bog oak grip and stainless steel pin
This lovely piece has hammer a texture finish on the blade, paired with clean and polished grip makes for a unique combination. Visible differential temper line (hamon) in play which is the change from hard steel at the edge to softer steel along the upper body of the blade. This is down to the manner in which it was quenched and tempered
Suitable for general and heavier duty work
