Needing a high quality, handmade FS Knife for admiration or Service?
This rare grip variant of the classic Fairbairn Sykes Commando Dagger (FS Knife), is now available to order!
The Beaded & Ringed grip was revived after over 80 years using an original for the base measurements, recreated and cast in bronze using the Lost Wax technique. This has a lovely tactile feel and this grip pattern is fully unique to my workshop!
These are made to order in limited smaller batches and will usually take 3-6 months to create
The blades are hand ground in Scotland from a selection of stainless or carbon steel
Default steel is either SF100 or O1 but other options are available, see below
The scabbards are fully hand sewn quality brown bovine leather sheaths based on the original 2nd pattern design. This includes stitching tabs on the main body, a slotted belt frog and an elasticated retention strap, complete with a brass chape at the bottom. This will be secured with both epoxy and a colour matched cap rivet on your piece
If you want your Regiment or other custom laser engraving added to your blade, please follow this up in an email with the image you want used
Additional customisations can include Nickel plating and Black Nickel plating for the grip, guard and scabbard chape
Blade measures 6 3/4″ (17cm)
Dagger weight 210g* (given the handmade nature, this may vary slightly)
The FS knife guards are 2″ long and made from 304 stainless steel
The balance point is about 1″ behind the guard for that classic Fairbairn Sykes Dagger feel
Some minor cosmetic flaws may exist on the piece due to the handmade nature and casting process
